About Us

Established in 1906 in Short Hills, New Jersey, The Short Hills Garden Club is a proud member of The Garden Club of America, a non-profit organization, which has promoted horticultural and environmental education since 1913.

The purpose of The Garden Club of America is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening; to share the advantages of association by means of open educational meetings, conferences, correspondence, and publications; and to restore, improve, and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvements.

Guided by that vision, The Short Hills Garden Club works to promote the knowledge and appreciation of horticulture and the conservation of our natural resources, to stimulate an interest in public plantings in the Millburn/Short Hills area and to help maintain them, to keep its members informed on governmental matters which concern our natural resources, and to support the purpose of The Garden Club of America.
